This brilliant media room was created during redecoration of 5 x 5 metre formal lounge to create a family room space for watching TV, movies and big screen gaming.

The project uses an S.M.S. 5.1 Gold audio package, comprising of an Artcoustic soundbar, on-wall rear speakers and a B&W PV1 subwoofer hidden behind the sofa, all powered by an Arcam Amplifier (AVR).

A small, pull-out equipment rack in the cupboards beneath the client-supplied 85” Sony 4K TV neatly houses the all equipment.

The room includes a wireless Control4 lighting system with a smart switch to control the room’s pendant, wall lights, table lamps and three electric Silent Gliss blinds.

The Control4 smart control system provides a smart Neo touch screen remote and smart apps, allowing for quick and easy operation of all aspects of the system.

S.M.S. delivered all design documentation, cabling and wireless lighting dimmers to site and walked the electricians through the works required before cables were installed. At second fix stage, S.M.S. delivered the speakers, TV bracket, blinds and pre-built equipment rack to the site for plug and play installation by the installer, followed by final calibration and optimisation by S.M.S. on handover of the system.
