This project was focused purely on the benefits of smart home security technology with the client specifying a four camera CCTV system, gate entry and integration with an intruder alarm system.

The S.M.S. smart home solution included a neat wall mounted equipment rack to be located in the client’s attic, that would house the central smart security equipment as well as the network hub, which ensures the property has both robust Wi-Fi throughout and a digitally secure system, preventing online hacking into the system.

The day and night Dahua high-definition cameras provide clear video around the house and motion detection in specified areas during set times, which will automatically pop up the CCTV images on a Control4 in wall touch screen in the client’s kitchen, or on the TV in the lounge or bedroom to give the client early warning of any issues.

The Control4 touch panel and Control4 smart app also provide video and audio intercom to the entrance gates and full setting and unsetting control of the Texecom intruder alarm.

Using the S.M.S. design pack, S.M.S. partner Beaty and McGuire installed this high calibre smart security solution at the same time as fitting their Texecom alarm system in just over a week. The resulting solution provides a smart and very secure solution that is also discreet and helps our clients feel safe at home.
